Dallas Outreach Ideas

Many people are looking for ways to make a different in Dallas through service, but don’t know where to start. Luckily, we have connections to many different ministries and organizations around Dallas where you can either give your time or money to impact real people in tangible ways. Here’s a list, but not an exhaustive one, of the different ways you can serve in Dallas.

All Access International: Their Website

  • All Access was started by a Texas A&M graduate who went to Dallas Theological Seminary – Lane Kipp. He has a vision for ending spiritual and physical poverty globally in the most efficient way possible. All Access is essentially a mutual fund for non-profits; Lane does thorough research and only selects the most sustainable, local, and cost-effective organizations to give money to. If you give to his Collective Fund, 100% of your dollars will go to helping people, meaning you know your money won’t be spent on making non-profit examples comfortable. All Access is still small, so you can meet with Lane and hear about it from him yourself. We highly recommend charitable giving going to this organization, as it is a start-up that’s on the cutting edge of changing how giving is done internationally.

Our Calling: Their Website

  • Our Calling is a ministry that serves homeless people in Dallas. They aren’t so much a homeless shelter as they are a homeless rehabilitation center. They provide free laundry services, showers, and food, with the hopes of having homeless people come by and take advantage of their programs. Their goal is to get them back on their feet and working, so they don’t house them overnight. They use all of their donations to help holistically help the homeless get off addictions, get counseling, and have people dedicated to helping them find jobs. You can go and serve and help either with the laundry service, food service, or go and make some friends.

Northwest Community Center: Their Website

  • You probably didn’t know this, but there is a community of 100s of international refugees just a couple miles north of Lower Greenville. Northwest Community Center is a subsidiary of Northwest Bible Church, and they seek to help provide basic needs for the refugees in that area. It can range from healthcare to after-school care for children. There are many different ways you can get involved: either tutoring, after school care, or helping with the health clinic.

Brother Bills: Their Website

  • Brother Bill’s Helping Hand seeks to provide food, healthcare, and educational programming to those in need in the West Dallas and Oak Cliff communities. They seek to holistically take care of those who are struggling, and offer many different services you can get involved in: food restocking, grocery store runs, and after school care.
